About the Show
Dream is a whimsical reimagining of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, told not by nobles, but by the Mechanicals: the workers, the makers, the overlooked storytellers. This is their version. Unvarnished, heartfelt, and deeply human. A tale remembered not from the court, but from the wings. They were cast aside, comic relief in someone else’s dream—one turned, quite literally, into an ass. But they saw what others missed and they are ready to share their secrets – blending romance, rebellion, and transformative wonder.
The Old Grist Mill sets the scene—rustic, romantic, and just wild enough for fairies to show up uninvited. Bring your blanket. Expect enchantment.
Seating for this show will be through the gardens, so blankets or lawn chairs are strongly encouraged. A special lunch feature will be optionally available before the show–check back for more details.
