Christmas Craft Workshop: Christmas Baking, Victorian Style

Tradition is at the heart of each of our crafty Christmas workshops and what better way to relive old Christmas customs than by preparing delicious baked treats.On Sunday, November 19th from 6:00PM to 9:00 PM, we will show you how to prepare a wonderful range of goodies that were popular in the 1870’s (and are often still big hits today–yes, including a well-brandied fruit cake.) Traditionally, “Stir-Up Sunday” comes the week before the start of Advent and was the time to start making Christmas puddings and other treats for a proper Victorian Christmas. This workshop, which happens one week before Stir-Up Sunday, will help get you ready for your own seasonal baking efforts.
The fee for this three hour workshop is $40 and every participant will get to take some of their treats home.
