Western Canadian Music Awards Nominee for “Francophone Album of the Year”

Since 2005, the duo “Vazzy” has entertained audiences from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland and in the US. The two talented musicians offer a warm, dynamic and engaging performance of traditional French-Canadian music.

Vazzy’s repertoire includes beautiful ballads and lively humorous songs from the French-Canadian tradition, as well as toe-tapping fiddle and dance tunes from the French, Celtic, Metis and Canadian musical traditions.

The two musicians love of travel, people and cultures from around the globe has taken them to many places and it is reflected in their music.

Keeping “French-Candian Tradition” alive and well in Western Canada, Vazzy has called British-Columbia home for many years. When playing for anglophone audiences, the two musicians, fluent French and English speakers, share the  stories behind their songs, so everyone can  appreciate and enjoy the language, the music and the culture.

Through the summer of 2015, the Grist Mill and Gardens at Keremeos will be hosting a variety of exceptional artists in July, August and September for an evening concert series in our picturesque Historic Site. However unlike the others, this is an afternoon show, beginning at 3PM.

You are encouraged to bring your own blankets and low-rise lawn chairs; taller chairs are also welcome, but you may be asked to sit in the back to avoid obstructing the view of others. You’re welcome to bring your own water bottles (reusable or factory-sealed) but outside food or drinks are prohibited on site. The Grist Mill & Gardens will be operating a concession at each show.

Tickets will be available for sale at the Grist Mill front desk for $10, by phone at 250-499-2888 during business hours (daily 9 AM-5 PM) or on this site. Some tickets may also be available at the door for each show, depending on availability, but a small surcharge will apply.
