Workshop: Introduction to Home Canning

Always wanted to start canning, but just couldn’t get into gear? Maybe we can help with a little inspiration…
In this workshop, join our General Manager, Chris Mathieson (who has canned thousands of jars or just about everything) as he provides an introduction to the basics of home water-bath canning. Together, we’ll make a batch of jam and discuss the basic techniques and equipment necessary to follow other food safe home canning recipes including jellies, pickles and salsas. This is an introductory course, but if you have previous experience, please feel free to bring your questions.
Every participant will get to take a handout of useful information and a jar of our finished product home with them.
